Product Reviews I don't usually review appliances but I had such a terrible experience with this one that I felt it necessary to warn other consumers. It only used this blender to make fresh fruit smoothies with ice. At first it would take up to three minutes to blend the fruit and it would still leave chunks of ice. I tolerated it. Then the blender started to cut out randomly after only a few seconds of being at the highest setting. Within two months of buying it the container started to fill up with smoke and ruined the food! Was I blending rocks? No, peeled bananas - the kind of thing I could mash with a spoon. Consumers beware. This thing looks sleek but it is so poorly made that I consider Black & Decker to be unethical. This model cost me $60 and was one of the more expensive blenders at Walmart. It had fewer features than other blenders so I assumed that the high cost meant quality construction. Wrong. I'm sure that most of the blenders at Goodwill would outlast this piece of crap.
