Product Description
The wide blade of this cheese plane confidently cleaves through cheddar, Swiss, jack, and a host of other cheeses, delivering perfectly formed slices for sandwiches and crackers. The elegantly contoured device, which complements Chantal's Stainless line of cookware, features 18/10 stainless-steel construction for long-term durability. The handle is slightly curved for additional comfort in the hand, and it's filled with a nonreactive cement for extra balance. On the edge of the handle sits a small hook that fits ideally on a rack or peg for hanging. The hook is inspired by the mushroom shape of Chantal's classic lid knobs, seen on many of the company's cookware items and teakettles. Cleanup is also a breeze, as the cheese plane is dishwasher-safe, and it carries a lifetime warranty against defects.

Product Reviews
The product has a nice weight and feels solid in your hand, but . . . . it doesn't cut the cheese. We had a fiskars cheese plane for 15 years, which worked marvelously, but the constant stress finally caused the metal to fatigue, and the head fell off. While the Chantal feels like a designer product, it simply does not function adequately. Try something else.
