Product Description
The CIA Masters Collection Hyde Park 10" Chef's Knife makes some of the kitchens most mundane tasks an artful experience. It's the cooking worlds classic, all-purpose knife. Perfect for slicing, chopping, mincing and dicing fruits, vegetables, onions, and herbs, as well as for slicing meats and poultry. Forged from a single piece of high carbon, no-stain German steel, the blade resists corrosion and holds an extremely sharp, easily maintained edge. To ensure superior balance and strength, the knife has a full tang (the solid piece of steel from the tip through the handle) that runs the entire length of the handle. The unique Balance-Forward handle design and streamlined bolster positions your hand forward for a secure and extremely comfortable grip, allowing you to put pressure on the blade without putting excess pressure on your hand or wrist. The handle's hygienic poly resin construction (polyoxymethylene or POM) is reinforced with fiberglass and triple-riveted for extra durability. The streamlined bolster also exposes the full blade edge for optimum performance and maximum sharpening. The Culinary Institute of America Masters Collection of cookware, cutlery, bakeware, and culinary tools was designed with hands-on involvement and testing by the school's faculty of Certified Master Chefs.
