Crafted from premium, heavyweight steel, this hefty pan is large enough to hold a casserole for a crowd or a good-size oblong birthday cake. Rolled metal rims and solid construction ensure it won't bend or warp under high heat, and the bonded, nonstick coating makes for easy food removal and cleanup, especially for messy dishes such as roast chicken or lasagna. Its rich, gray metal finish, which darkens with age, makes for a handsome serving dish--though remember that food cooks more quickly in dark-surfaced pans, which means the oven temperature will need to be adjusted downwards about 25 degrees to prevent overbrowning on more delicate baked goods. --Marianne Painter
