I purchased it without my wife's knowledge because I had to make a quick decision, so it was a bit dicy about whether or not she would approve. Well, we used it today (Thanksgiving, 2007) for the very first time. Wow, was it great! It is very sturdy and just the right size to put into a very hot oven without much danger of touching the hot sides of the oven when putting the roaster into or taking it out of the oven. That's because the handles face up on the sides, rather than out, like our previous roaster handles did. Also, the rack works very well for keeping the turkey off the bottom of the roaster, allowing air flow all the way around the bird. By the way - we roasted a 25.6 lb. turkey, and this roaster had no problem handling it! The roaster is deep enough to handle any amount of basting/drippings from the meat. Additionally, when we finished with all of the meat and bones, we very easily poured the rest of the grease into a small mouthed jar, without mess. That means that while pouring, the grease did not run down and back on the sides of the roaster, as often happens when pouring liquids out of regular pots and pans. All in all a very well made non-stick roaster, that is convenient to use, easy to clean and does everything you want a roaster to do (in my humble opinion).
