To keep filtered water tasting great, it's important to change the filter on a regular basis--it's best to keep spare filters on hand at all times. The Krups Crystal filter fits all Cystral Arome water filters and coffee makers and reliably reduces the unpleasant odors and tastes from tap water that taint the flavor of drinks. Product Description
A great cup of coffee starts with pure, odor-free water. If your tap water reminds you of summer by the pool perhaps you should consider how chlorine affects the taste of your brew. These filters also reduce annoying calcification.

Try simply not using the filters. My coffee tastes just as good without it. Maybe my water is already clean, but this seems like a ploy to make Krups customers keep paying. The price is outrageous! A little package of activated charcoal should NOT cost $5 a piece.
