Product Reviews Picked this model up at the Home Depot on sale well over a year ago, and has worked fine ever since. Switched to a carafe because I was tired of my Braun burning my coffee after the first cup (and the Braun glass carafe really sucks at pouring). This machine gets the coffee hot enough for my liking and stays hot for a hour or two. In a pinch, I've even found microwaving the coffee much later quite tolerable (thanks to the lack of air and a burning hot plate). One issue, if you don't put the carafe in straight, it won't sit perfectly and will leak on the countertop - because the no-spill lever will think the carafe isn't there and fill up the basket. If you can pull out the carafe without feeling a little resistance from the ring in the base, you need to reinsert it. Otherwise, I noticed a difference in my electric bill after switching! Probably paid for the coffeemaker at this point.
